Function is the law of mutual dependence of the elements of any mechanism, organism, structure. She is completely subordinate to the project of a country house in the spirit of rationalism of German modern residential cottages. Here even the landscape is restrained in an effort to meet the high demands of strict lines. The dark color of the clinker bricks on the facade, combined with the seam panels on the roof, gives the house a rather severe look, playing in contrast with the unusually light and airy interior, and colorfully emphasizes the rich green lawn. The structure of the building consists of two parts of different heights with roof slopes in opposite directions. The back wall is intended for technical use with niches for firewood and outdoor units of the air conditioning system. No falsity, only natural comfort in the interior. The common area of the kitchen, dining room and hall with an infinitely distant ceiling deprives the space of forced restrictions and stiffness. Soft undertones catch the sunlight and blend into a peaceful palette. Maximum use of natural light is provided by floor-to-ceiling windows and a corner window framing an unsupported canopy over the exit from the kitchen to the garden. By and large, one could talk about the complete absence of decor, if not for the stairs.. She delicately hugs the wall, becoming the main decoration of the house and a magnet for looks. The natural ornament of wood is fascinating, especially in a win-win combination with black metal, and finds its continuation in wall panels and furniture. Glass railings allow the staircase to soar, because it deserves it.
