The concept of building a museum with an extensive recreation area for Lviv residents and guests of the city on the site of the Lviv citadel arose for a reason. This area is unique in its landscape, being quite close to the tourist center in the old part of Lviv and immersed in greenery, at the moment it does not use its potential at all and is almost abandoned. Historical mothballed territory, on the site of which a concentration camp for prisoners of war was organized during the Second World War. It is the tragic history of this place that prevents it from being put to the right use. Automobiles became the main idea and inspiration of the project. The complex assumes the location of a retro car museum, a hotel, a restaurant and even a children's themed school. Architecture in the genre of Soviet brutalism was an attempt to rethink it: whitewash it, get rid of the heaviness and characteristic gloomy severity. In a word, let it evolve. Having used the relief ornament in full force, the complex crashes into the slope. Several buildings of different heights clearly functionally zone the premises depending on the purpose. The structure, in proportion to the buildings rising above the ground, grows roots into the ground, spreading out there as an underground labyrinth. Holes connect the dungeon with the ground zone, where an amphitheater is located for mass events. Through the stained glass spider structures of the windows, they provide a sufficient amount of light where it has never been, where its penetration is new and even if unnatural, but so desired and so necessary. Sometimes it is enough to make an attempt to pave the way for the light, so that the darkness dissipates and is forgotten.
